Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our services or website. By contacting us, requesting a quotation, or engaging Bonnici Wood Finishings to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Bonnici Wood Finishings is a wood finishing specialist based in Malta, providing professional spray finishing, colour staining, and restoration services for wooden doors, kitchens, and furniture. We operate as a finishing-only business — we do not manufacture or build structural woodwork.

Our Services
We provide specialist wood finishing services including spray finishing, custom colour staining, and restoration of existing wooden pieces. All work is carried out on pieces that have already been manufactured or crafted by a third party — we do not supply raw materials, build furniture, or carry out structural carpentry.
The scope of each job is agreed upon prior to commencement and confirmed in a written or verbal quotation.
Quotations
All quotations provided are free of charge and carry no obligation. Quotations are based on the information and materials presented at the time of assessment. If the condition of the piece differs materially from what was assessed, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price before work begins.
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Acceptance of Work
Work commences only once both parties have agreed on the scope, price, and timeline. By instructing us to proceed — whether verbally, in writing, or by delivering the piece — you confirm acceptance of the quoted terms.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:

Ensuring the piece is structurally sound and fit for finishing before delivery

Providing accurate colour references, specifications, or samples where applicable

Arranging delivery and collection of pieces unless otherwise agreed

Informing us of any known defects, repairs, or previous treatments applied to the piece
We accept no liability for issues arising from undisclosed prior treatments or structural defects in the piece.
Turnaround & Timelines
Estimated completion times are provided as a guide and may vary depending on workload, product curing times, and weather conditions. We will communicate any significant delays as soon as they become known. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Payment
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to request a deposit before work begins on larger projects. Completed pieces will be released upon receipt of full payment. We accept payment by bank transfer or cash unless otherwise arranged.
Ownership & Collection
Completed pieces must be collected within an agreed timeframe. We reserve the right to charge a storage fee for pieces left on our premises for an unreasonable period after completion. Risk in the piece transfers back to the client upon collection or delivery.
Warranty & Defects
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you believe there is a defect in the finishing work carried out by us, please contact us within 14 days of collection. We will assess the piece and, where the defect is attributable to our workmanship, we will remedy it at no additional cost.
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, cleaning with unsuitable products, exposure to extreme conditions, or modifications made by a third party after collection.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from delays, defects, or damage. We take all reasonable care when handling your pieces; however, we recommend you inform us of any high-value or sentimental items so we can take appropriate precautions.
Intellectual Property
All photographs, content, and materials on our website are the property of Bonnici Wood Finishings and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising from our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
